gosh, people have gotten really bad (or always were) at somewhat disguising fake, shill comments.
“the only downside is it is not that popular, see it for yourself!” hahahah

As for O&O Defrag. They had a Free Edition available which can still be found at softpedia and other sites. It is running fine on Windows 10 (atleast on 2004). You only have to click the first popup message from Windows itself about incompatible software. Otherwise it is running fine for some weeks now. It is based on version 14. It lacks features like boot time defrag and only allows a single job, but does a good job. And for home use you can still be lucky to find some older versions from giveaways from some pc magazines. That way I got O&O Defrag 17, 20 and 22, but if anyone wants to try the Free Edition just search for “O&O Defrag Free Edition 14.1.431” in google.

The features, User Interface (circular hard drive plate is mimicked), different types of defragmentation methods not available from all others, and its capabilities. Tested all these defrags apps mentioned above but nothing comes close to Ultimate Defrag. Its defragmentation manual and 101 alone are even exceptional. Tee only downside is, it is not that popular. See it for yourself!

I’ve even been in contact with support. At first the response was they weren’t aware of this issue, then after some research I found that this has been an issue for at least a year or more.

Even their other software (Speccy, CCleaner) has started identifying my drive as SSD, so it seems to be a problem on their end. I just uninstalled Defraggler because it’s worthless if it can’t identify and defrag my drive properly.

It sat there and did nothing. I contacted Systweak, and after two weeks, I’ve had one response that said “we’ll pass it along to our development team.” Meanwhile my AMD Ryzen with 64 GB RAM and 3 SSDs is running like a 20-year-old 386 on Windows 95 … SINCE installing this garbage. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

Auslogics con: Malwarebytes will try to quarantine the entire program.
